You can get a hybrid version of the 2012 Honda Civic at Big Island Honda - Kona in Kailua Kona, HI. Soon, you may get an all eletric version from the Japanese auto maker.
Honda Motors began testing their Honda Fit EV fleet of vehicles in China. These tests will be conducted with the governments of Guangzhou and Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd.
For the testing, Fit EVs are taken through real-world urban environments to witness their practicality, as well as identify technological issues. These tests will also help the company set up where recharge points should be installed.
Here's how the demonstrations will go down:
1. EVs will be driven on local streets to reproduce a real-world usage environment to identify the vehicle's potential technological issues.1
2. Through the monitoring of daily driving by general users, range per charge and charging patterns (frequency and location) will be confirmed.2
